Touched by Darkness
Designer: BK Game Design
Location: Wicked Wort Brewing (Robbinsdale, MN)
Date: May 18th, 2025
Time: 9:30am - 6pm
Cost: $40
Centuries ago, the Dark One shrouded the world in perpetual night with their Eclipse. They were defeated, and you believed they would never return... You were wrong. Somehow the Dark One has returned. Darkness has swallowed the Empire as well as the minds of its citizens whom the Dark One has corrupted into its thralls.

Only your frontier settlement, Cleaveslind, managed to relight the ancient Beacons. You are the last bastion of light in a world of darkness. Now the forces of the Dark One are massing on your borders, and rumors swirl that there are those within Cleaveslind who have already fallen under the Dark One’s sway. Will you be able to survive the onslaught and restore light to the world?

Players will work with their Faction teammates toward common goals by managing resources, passing legislation, and fighting the forces of the Dark One. Cleaveslind might survive if players keep the Beacons lit by performing Rituals to end the Eclipse.

Some players may be secretly contacted by Control before or during the game to become a Shadow Agent. Shadow Agents are not members of their Faction’s team, but a secret team of their own. Their goal is to undermine the other players, preserve the Eclipse, and usher in the Dark One’s rule. How they do this is up to them. This game is heavily inspired by the popular Megagame 'Den of Wolves', likely the second-most run megagame in the world after Watch the Skies.

Touched by Darkness is a megagame for up to 42 players. The game focuses on themes of dark fantasy, cooperation, and betrayal.

This is an Alternate History WW2 game about the imaginary invasion of Britain by Germany in the autumn of 1940, known as Unternehmen Seelöwe (Operation Sealion). Although planned in some detail the operation was never a realistic possibility, even though the Germans amassed huge invasion forces in the Channel ports they were never able to reliably counter the twin threats of the RAF and the Royal Navy and the invasion was cancelled. Much to the relief of the German High Command who felt the whole idea would very likely be suicidal.

"There's an epidemic of Green Fingers, the hospital porters are demanding more mana, and the head nurse keeps turning into a cat. Just another day in the world's premier magical hospital."
Research ancient magical secrets, embark on quests for rare herbs, or balance the departmental budget - then head home to your magical commune to plan the next community celebration. Fae's Anatomy is a relatively cooperative megagame with strong elements of resource management, creativity, and communication.

You will effectively be part of two teams - your hospital department, and your home commune - with minimal overlap between the two. Work with your commune to ensure your department's needs are supplied - but make sure your contributions are recognised! While the communes generally get along well, there's plenty of room for friendly one-upmanship between them.

"Other than that, it should be quite a quiet, peaceful day. The Magical Research Department says something strange is happening with the leylines, but it's probably nothing to worry about..."

Watch the Skies is a megagame about international relations, conflict, and high level diplomacy. Will you band together to fight the alien menace or find ways to communicate with aliens who may simply come in peace?

God Emperor

Location: Austi-con 2024 (Austin, MN)
Date: Saturday, October 19th
Time: 10am - 6pm
Cost: Free with Austi-con registration
Ten thousand years ago, The God Emperor and his infinite army came down from Heaven. In a single night they took over the continent, slew the demon who ruled here, and built Mount Leviathan from its bones. He has ruled with an iron fist ever since: Perfect, infallible, and eternal. You know this because everyone says so, in public. There’s nothing to contradict it. He burnt all the history books.
Now, though, you hear the same people also whisper blasphemy: The God Emperor grows weak. He is seen little, and makes few decrees. Soldiers desert his armies. The old religions, almost forgotten now, are re-sprouting like trees after a fire.
You are a member of a Noble House. As the God Emperor rots, you have grown strong. Soon, this land will be yours. You will command armies. Make laws. Plot treason.
You will become God.

God Emperor is a Megagame for up to 45 players in 9 teams of 3-5 players. The game focuses on themes of war, politics, and espionage.
